The Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope fuses excellent optical glass with robust design features, forming a high performance outdoor observational tool at an affordable price. For an exceptional view, the HD (high density) extra-low dispersion lens system is treated with Vortex's anti-reflective XR coating to maximize light transmission and color fidelity. The multi-layer prism coatings further this brightness and clarity to an incredible level. A helical focusing system lets you quickly fine tune your view to get the sharpest images of fleeting targets. This scope gives the viewer another degree of freedom with the rotating tripod collar, allowing you to change the viewing angle drastically. The optic is well protected from the environment; the body is heavily armored, waterproof and argon purged to prevent fogging. The ArmorTek coating on the lenses is a scratch-resistant barrier that keeps oil and dirt off of the lens surfaces.
